This was at a work site building a house, I don't think I have ever worked so hard in my entire life
This was one of the little girls at the work site who followed me around and helped me with my tasks. I am including all this in my introduction because I feel that it is the one thing in my life that has truly shaped who I am today.
In 2009, I began my schooling at UVic hoping to do linguistics and languages, particularly Spanish and French with the hopes to be able to work abroad with people, maybe teaching internationally or something like that. After realizing that linguistics was NOT my calling, a friend suggested an Anthropology course, so second semester I took Anth 100 with Andy Roddick, which was the best decision I could have ever made. I fell in love with it. Ever since then I have been working towards my major in Anthropology and minor in History.
And it was lead me to you here today. I have to make this blog for my Anth 392 class, which will be looking at burial and death rituals all over the world and back through time. I decided to take the course because I find it so interesting looking at how different cultures shepherd their people on into another life. So future posts will most likely be related to the course material.
Cheers! Hope everyone enjoys!!
